Top 2 Mistakes You Must Avoid to Boost Your NEET 2025 Score
Aspiring medical students need to recognize the important errors that can negatively impact their exam results in the upcoming NEET 2025 exam. With immense competition, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but making the right choices in your preparation can be the difference between success and failure. Two main mistakes that can prevent you from achieving a high score include poor time management and poor attention to conceptual understanding.
Many candidates limit their preparation to memorizing facts and avoid learning the concepts while many others develop poor time management which results in speedy last-minute preparation. Performing poorly because of inadequate time management or not grasping concepts properly can affect your examination results and decrease your capacity to solve intricate problems. Recognizing these concerns early in your NEET 2025 preparation will help you improve your chances of achieving a high rank while reaching your target goals.
NEET 2025 aspirants must avoid these 2 mistakes
Students are prone to make these 2 major mistakes during the last 2 months before their exam. Refrain from making these two mistakes, otherwise it will drastically affect your rank and score in NEET 2025. If you find out the steps to avoid these mistakes, your probability of achieving a top rank will increase. The first major mistake is Resource Distraction. The second mistake is spending time on your procrastination.
What do you mean by Resource Distraction?
Every year just before the last few days of the NEET exam, various types of books, video series, and test series are launched that will boost your rank and score to confuse the students. For example, if you are weak in Physics or Biology, you will feel resource distraction majorly in these two subjects. Generally, the subject you are weak at, you will feel resource distraction more.
You start to think if you start solving a particular book, whether your score will improve or not. The result that happens is that when you opt for a resource for 2 months, you cannot complete the material within a span of two months. When you completely focus on the new material in the last few days, you completely forget your existing knowledge. For example, if you have studied a gravitation of physics from NCERT and practiced questions from H.C. Verma, when you solve the new book, it will be completely new for you.
You won’t be able to connect the dots. So in these last two months, try not to focus on any new video series, test series or any book to prevent yourself from getting distracted. Concentrate on your weak points during these 2 month period. It’s time to concentrate on your loopholes which you have already discovered in the last 6-7 months of your preparation. Ensure that you will revise your mistakes in the upcoming two months and not repeat the same mistakes in the actual exam.
How can overthinking affect your performance in NEET 2025?
Sitting back and thinking how much you will score in physics or chemistry is nothing but overthinking. Overthinking is a major issue in the NEET Droppers and those students whose parents take a lot of stress. The dropper feels guilty thinking what will happen if they don’t score good this year and how they will face their teachers, parents and friends.
Overthinking is normal to a certain limit, but when you feel it’s going beyond the certain limit, just close the book and take a small walk either in your room, terrace, balcony or anywhere you feel like. But after that when you come back and sit for study, ensure that you don’t waste any more of your time on overthinking. Learn to do various things to distract yourself from overthinking.
When you spend an extra amount of time overthinking while studying any concept, you just reduce your overall recall ability. Your concentration will reduce, and thereby you will not achieve the score that you deserve.
