- The second topic is secondary growth.Many aspirants while studying cambium and answering questions related to that topic, often point out that secondary growth is not in the syllabus. Whenever questions are asked from secondary medullary ray, secondary xylem, secondary phloem candidates are unable to answer the questions. When the NEET 2025 paper will be set,it will be next to impossible that there will be nothing mentioned about the excluded topics. - Next if we consider the chapter plant kingdom from class 11 botany, alternation of generation is equally important. Concept of haplontic life cycle,haplo-diplontic life cycle, its examples, must be thoroughly learned. So, even if you can’t see alternation of generation in the official syllabus, please read and practice questions from these topics. If you decide to omit this topic,you might not be able to answer questions related to gametophyte and sporophyte.
- The next important topic is modification of root, leaf and stem. Topics such as phyllode(which is modification of petiole or leaf), phylloclade, cladode are very important. Questions have been asked several times from these concepts. Topics like rhizome, sucker, runner, offset must be covered in your NEET 2025 preparation. Read these topics without a miss.
- If you see the new published syllabus of NTA, a new topic has been added named “protein biosynthesis”. This is a topic of class 12 botany. Protein synthesis has been explained in the NCERT class 12 textbook. But apart from this,if you need to study protein biosynthesis, and if you want to be able to answer questions like where GTP is used, which process is energy dependent,what is translocation of ribosomes, you need to learn the concepts. Learn the detailed structure of ribosomes.
- Topics such as Active transport, passive transport, Competitive Inhibition, Non Competitive Inhibition must be learned and understood thoroughly.
- Another very important topic is Chemiosmotic Theory. You have to understand the chemiosmotic Theory in detail.
- If we see the recent pattern of the syllabus, you will find out that reflex action is not mentioned by NTA. But questions will be asked from this topic. You can expect questions like where is the pseudo unipolar neuron located.
- Another very important topic is Hyposecretion and Hypersecretion of Hormone, especially anabolic steroids. Side effects of taking excessive testosterone and what will happen upon taking excessive doses of estrogen and progesterone must be learned. Name of diseases and its unique symptoms should not be omitted. CCM(Counter Current Multiplier) and CCE(Counter Current Exchanger) is a very high-weighted topic and is asked in every year of the NEET exam. Questions like whether the ascending loop of Henle is water permeable or ion permeable, ascending loop of Henle is water permeable or ion permeable, Role of Vasa Recta are expected.
- Questions will be asked from Modern Synthetic Theory, Dengue, Chikungunya, Vaccine production as well. Don’t miss these topics as these questions will decide the future of your rank.

- You can’t read only the translation, you have to learn the entire ribosome.
